1 . HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (NOT NECESSARILY A GRADUATE OR A LICENSED ENGINEER AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THOSE EXPERIENCE)
Qualifications
Project Key Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibilities shall include new product development with emphasis on
project scoping and planning, conceptual development, board detail design, system
engineering, and Design Qualification Testing
• Areas of responsibility will include digital, analog and PC system level design
• Performs trade studies/benchmarking to determine optimal product solution
• New technology/component investigation/tracking
• Generates and maintains product functional specifications
• Drives and supports cost reduction efforts
• Resolves customer issues on current production products
• Supports manufacturing build to resolve any technical issues
Required Skills, Experience & Education:
• BS or MS degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering
• Should have a strong understanding of Electronic/Electrical principles and
technology
• At least 5 years of relevant or related experience in Hardware Product
Development
• Mechatronics/Robotics experience is highly desirable
• Analog, digital and FPGA/CPLD design experience
• Experience with a variety of measuring and test equipment
• Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Altium Designer or any other schematic capture
software
• Xilinx or Altera FPGA design tools. VHDL programming skills.
• Experience with one or more of the following operating systems: Microsoft
Windows 9X, NT, 2000, and XP, DOS, Linux, and OS/2
• Efficient with use of Microsoft office tool set including Excel, Word, Project
and PowerPoint
Desired Skills and Work Experience:
• Power Supply Design experience
• Work experience in Environmental and ESD\EMI\RFI testing
• PWB (CAD board layout) design experience
• Microsoft Project or other Project Management tools
• A good awareness of USB communication protocol, microprocessors, power
regulators, motor drive and sensor technology will be beneficial
• FW/SW programming skills an advantage
2 . MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (NOT NECESSARILY A GRADUATE OR A LICENSED ENGINEER AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THOSE EXPERIENCE)
Project Key Responsibilities:
• The design and documentation of injection molded plastic parts, sheet metal
parts and machined metal parts.
• Stress, tolerance and detailed analyses of mechanical designs
• Design review participation
• Provide cost estimates (labor, material) for new product
• Perform trade studies/benchmarking to determine optimal product solution
• New technology/component investigation/tracking
• Drive and support cost reduction efforts
• Scoping new design projects experience and strategic planning
• Project Management, Manpower Scheduling
• Resolve customer issues on current production products
• Support manufacturing build to resolve any technical issues
• Problem solving functional product issues
Required Skills, Experience & Education:
• BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years work experience in related position (Design and Development
environment)
• Mechatronics/Robotics experience is highly desirable
• Pro-E Wildfire and Solidworks proficiency(2D and 3D model generation)
• Experience with Pro/Mechanica or other FEA tools
• Stress, Tolerance, and Thermal analysis experience
• Experience with developing component level designs
• High-level understanding of plastic and sheetmetal design as well as a good
understanding of tooling and parts manufacture.
• Efficient with use of Microsoft office tool set including Excel, Word, Project
and PowerPoint.
